Welcome to our licensed childcare program, we are thrilled for you to be part of our little family. In choosing our program for your child as their designated learning environment, you have shown your commitment and dedication to your child’s early childhood education. Let us work together to create a safe, secure environment where your childcare meets all their developmental needs in a way that encourages them to explore, play, and socialize. The purpose of this website is to show you the comprehensive work we have done to ensure that our program is the best fit for you and your child. This will reflect our policies and procedures to enable us to give the best academic experience for every child.

Operating Policies

The following operating policies are to be adhered by all in attendance of this program. We understand that this is an unprecedented time, but there are COVID-19 policies and guidelines mandated by the State of California. If there are any questions and/or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Signing In and Out

All children arriving and leaving the facility need to be properly signed in and out by the legal guardian or an individual who is authorized to do so. (Please review LIC 700 Identification and Emergency Information Form). The child may NOT leave the child care program without being signed out by legal guardian or authorized person. Please inform the program director, either by email or phone, if your child will be missing school, arriving late or leaving early (AHEAD of time). If someone who is not listed as an Authorized Individual will be picking up your child, you must notify the program director in person, by phone or email ahead of time; the individual MUST bring a photo ID at the time of drop off or pick up.

Safety

Children are required to always wear shoes unless instructed otherwise. Supervision is always required. Children are not allowed to play outdoors, in rooms or on play structures without a teacher on duty or a parent/designated adult. Gates and doors are to be opened by teachers and parents/designated adults ONLY.

Discipline

We encourage and teach students their individual rights and rights of others. We strive to create respectful boundaries with oneself and onto others. Though it is a normal learning process, students still encounter difficulties understanding boundaries, which is why when these obstacles happen, a teacher will take them aside, speak to them about the event and help the child pick a different activity. If inappropriate behaviors continue, a parent-teacher conference will be scheduled to discuss said behavior and come up with a plan to help the child. The staff will NOT use abusive or frightening punishment of any sort under any circumstance. We want to ensure that children are being approached in a positive and supportive manner, no matter what the situation may be.

Health and Illness

Our program strives to keep each student and staff safe and healthy. Children who are ill will not be allowed to stay at the program. Children with a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, will be sent home or will not be accepted. Children who show signs of a fever, diarrhea, vomiting or any signs of high level discomfort should be kept home for 24 hours or until symptoms no longer are present. Staff will be required to notify the legal guardians/authorized persons as soon as they observe any symptoms and legal guardians/authorized persons are required to pick up the child as soon as possible. For communicable diseases such as chicken pox, head lice, strep throat, etc., please notify the Program Director IMMEDIATELY. All child care providers are mandated to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines and regulations provided by the California Department of Public Health.
